But one of the hardest things for me to do was to access anger. I could do it on stage. But when I did it on film it was hard for me. That probably has to do with the intimacy of film. And my own personal issues with expressing anger. So I had to learn how to do that.

The Quote in Other Words

Expressing anger was a challenging task for me, especially when it came to film. Although I could easily do it on stage, the intimacy of film and my personal struggles with anger made it difficult. Therefore, I had to acquire the skill of expressing anger on film.

Explanation of the Quote

Expressing anger can be a challenging task for many individuals, especially when it comes to doing so in a personal and intimate setting. This difficulty can stem from personal issues or a lack of experience in expressing anger in a healthy and productive manner. However, it is essential to learn how to access and express anger effectively, as it is a natural and necessary emotion that can help individuals set boundaries, communicate their needs, and protect themselves from harm.

While expressing anger on stage may come more naturally to some individuals, doing so on film can be a different story. The intimacy of film can make it more challenging to access and express anger authentically, as the camera captures every nuance and subtlety of the performance. Therefore, it is crucial to learn how to channel and express anger in a way that feels genuine and authentic, even in the most intimate of settings.

Learning how to access and express anger can be a challenging but necessary process for personal growth and development. By doing so, individuals can learn to communicate their needs, set boundaries, and protect themselves from harm in a healthy and productive manner.
